We refreshed Old Tyme’s packaging to create a distinct and own-able brand that didn’t leave its 135 year heritage behind. In the fast-moving world of CPG, we were able to boost brand awareness in the aisle, in print and on social.
And when a freak traffic jam shut down I-95 in Virginia for 35 hours, it left thousands trapped without food. A Schmidt Old Tyme truck was opened to distribute food to hungry motorists. Within 24 hours, the story began to go viral online. But there was one glaring problem. They had no social media presence. Within hours, we activated a social media profile launch process—the channels, the resource needs, copy, optimization.
The accellerated approach allowed Schmidt to build followers faster than in a traditional launch, using the event as a catalyst.
